Knight Band Notes- Wind Ensemble 8/26/19
Greetings Knight Band Students and Parents!
We enjoyed seeing you at ‘Open House!’ It’s going to be a GREAT year!
*Knight Band Fundraiser has begun!
We would like to offer students and families a little help paying for their spring trip (in May). One way is our annual “Cookie Dough” fundraiser! It started Thursday and will run through all of next week. Students were given a presentation in class as well as the brochure and order forms. You can find these items on our website:
Students should not collect money until the cookie dough is delivered (in about 3-4 weeks). They will hand the customer the cookie dough and collect payment at that time.
Black Dress Shirts!
The formal uniform this year will be needed by picture day (Tuesday, Nov. 5). Students will need to provide:
SOLID Black Shoes
SOLID Black Socks
SOLID Black Slacks
SOLID Black Dress Shirt (long sleeves, button-down, with a collar for a tie).
We will provide the vest and tie.
We know it’s sometimes difficult to find the dress shirts in small enough sizes, so we’ve partnered with a company that will provide them. If you are interested, you can find the link to purchase the black dress shirt here. Students that have paid will be measured in class and shirts will be delivered before picture day!
Help Wanted-Dress Shirt Fitting
We need 2 parents to help fit students for Honor Band, Symphonic Winds, and Wind Ensemble students that have ordered a black dress shirt. On or before Thursday, Sept 12. NOTE: You must be an APPROVED volunteer for THIS school year. Click below to sign up!
*Sectionals Begin THIS Week! 7:00am-8:00am
I am so excited to begin working with the students on their Region Band Music this week!! Sectionals will start at 7am. Students should enter in the back of the school (by the grey band hall door).
