Knight Band Notes- Honor Band 10/15/19
We will continue mastering our scales! This week: One Octave Chromatic.
We are also beginning our Winter Tour Preparations!

Fundraiser Money Due Tuesday, October 15th
Money is due: Tuesday, October 15th. Cash or checks made payable to KLMS Band. Please put your student’s name on each check as well as on the envelope.

*Accounts balances do not yet reflect all deposits made. They are a work in process and should be finished by mid week.
Prizes will be distributed after the student accounts are clear.
Nov. 5: Band Pictures Students will need their ‘formal’ attire for pictures:
solid black dress pants (no jeans)
solid black long sleeved, button down, collared dress shirt
solid black socks that cover the ankles
solid black shoes.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY– We need volunteers for all 3 bands (Honor Band: 9:14-10:06; Symphonic Winds: 10:10-11:00; Wind Ensemble: 11:04-11:54). Due to complications with the MusicFirst program, we are going to extend CHARMS submissions for recordings. If you need us to reset your CHARMS password, please email a band director. Below is a summary for how to submit recordings.
HOW TO SUBMIT RECORDINGS:
- Charms (www.charmsoffice.com): School Code: klmsband. Password: student ID (no letters)…but could have been changed. Ask us to reset if necessary.
- Music First (pfisd.musicfirstclassroom.com/login): login: student ID (no letters), password: music (all small letters)
- Email recordings to: email@example.com (be sure to include your name and what you are playing)
- Come before or after school and check out an iPad to use in a practice room.

Oct. 18: Mini Madness 4:30-6:00pm (only students that signed up for District Band)
Oct. 26: District Band Auditions (only students that signed up for District Band) Canyon Vista MS, we will bus students to the event, parents will need to pick them up after they are finished
